Week of February 9, 2015:
Don't forget that we will be going to the Tellus Museum on Monday, February 23rd. If you have not turned in your field trip permission form, please try to do that this week. Also, if you have paid for a t-shirt, it should have gone home with your child on Friday. A few students got excited and took it out of the backpack and left it. I placed it in their cubbies. Otherwise, t-shirts can still be purchased this week.
Yearbooks can also be purchased for $30.00. Please don't miss out. Last year they sold out!

Week of February 2, 2015:
Parents,
If you have not already paid for your child's class t-shirt, please try to send the payment in this week. The cost is $6.00. We will be wearing these shirts on our next field trip, as well as field day. I will get these shirts to you this week if you have not gotten one yet.
We will be going to the library on Monday, February 9th for a story and book check-out. If your child still has his/her library book at home, please make sure he/she brings it to school on Tuesday in order to be allowed to check out a new book.
Please continue to work with your child on the High Frequency words. These words can be found on the first grade website. ( http://kcsma1stgrade.weebly.com/high-frequency-word-club.html) Mrs. Randazzo comes to our class weekly in the mornings to assess the students' knowledge of these words. The goal to receive a 3 on the quarter 3 report card is 150 words. That means that your student needs to be able to recognize, on sight, the first six lists.
The Book Fair is coming on January 30 - February 6. We will be going on Tuesday, February 3 from 10:50am - 11:10am, for a preview and to make a wish list.
Upcoming events:
February 3 - Book Fair visit 10:50-11:10
February 4 - Box Tops are due
February 9 - Library visit
February 11 - Chic-fil-a Biscuit Day
February 23 - Field trip to Tellus Museum
